NURS 481 Role Transition

Purpose of Assignment: The purpose of this paper is to guide students through a process of self-reflection and self-evaluation to discover the scope of their personal and professional development while enrolled in the undergraduate nursing program.

Student Approach to Assignment: As my journey as a student nears its end, I have had the opportunity to reflect on how far I’ve come in developing my skills in patient care, critical thinking, and empathy, driven by the guidance of my peers and mentors. It has also given me insight into the effort I need to continue to put into my development to ensure that I grow into a compassionate and competent nurse dedicated to impacting the healthcare field.

Reason for Inclusion of the Assignment in the Portfolio: This assignment is included in my portfolio to showcase my ability to self-reflect on my journey and development as a student nurse over the course of my studies. It displays my ability to set personal and professional goals and underscores my understanding that self-care is essential to being an effective nurse.
